Lucy was a girl who, having done many things, found herself working in a toiletries shop in a leafy suburb of London. She liked it so much that she bought the shop, having finally found her niche in life. She loved the beautifully fragranced foaming baths, rich, nourishing moisturisers, light, silky lotions and heavenly scented perfumes she sold, and she loved her customers who bought these little pots of joy.
Having spent years selling other people's products and understanding the needs of her customers, she thought she'd have a go at making her own. “Nobody gives themselves enough time to just be,” she thought. “It seems that the only time we get to ourselves is during our quick morning shower, or a much needed soak in the bath at night, if we're lucky. That time has to feel special. It has to feel like a luxurious ritual by using fabulous products.” And so began Lucy's luxury bathing products in Lavender & Bluebell, Honey & Amber and Jasmine & Honeysuckle. The luxury ranges of Blossom, Gentle and Flower Market were born.
Yet Lucy couldn't stop at just foaming baths and body washes. Enthused by the encouraging sounds of approval from her customers, she worked with one of the country's finest soap makers to produce smooth, creamy triple milled luxury soaps. Then came clean burning candles from soy and aloe that waft their delicate scent throughout the home. And after cries of “More! More!”, Lucy is soon to bring out velvety smooth body lotions and protective handcreams infused with grapeseed and olive. Yet despite her passion for discovering new ways to delight and inspire her customers, Lucy stayed true to her principles and made sure that none of her products were ever tested on animals.
Lucy recently gave up city living and her little shop. Now she lives amongst the cocooning backdrop of rolling hills and the green vistas of the countryside – a verdant paradise. But the ethos of the luxury toiletries haven she created lives on in her bathing range.
